- Not for The Prize -
There is a prize. Many perform for the prize. Some folks become religious in hope of access to heaven. That's the prize. Some folks become religious to escape hell. That's the prize. Some folks become religious bargaining for a better chance. That's the prize. Some folks become religious in fear of God's wrath. That's the prize. Some folks become religious for membership into the club. That's the prize. Some are simply enthused for the competition. They do it for the prize. This list is not exhaustive. There is a prize.
Many are consciously not in it for its religion. Therein is a prize. Yes, there is a prize, but some are not in it for the prize. Regardless, there is a prize. Whether that prize is a crown, or jewels, or incorruptible treasures, or an irresistible promise, or riches, or showers of favor; there is a prize.
Which is better? This is not a better-than-ism reveal.
Yes, there is a prize.
For whatever it is worth, I'm not in it for the prize; I AM in THE FAMILY, all rights granted preserved.
No claim of this being better-than those other incentives. I have never been in "it" for the prize. There was no compare and pick. Belief. Just knowing my blood-line, just being FAMILY, oooh-weee, the Great Creation - In Likeness & Image - Not substittuted - Born of - wow! Redeemed. Sparkles. Now that's not the full of it, but I'll pause. FAMILY.
Horror humans do to other humans and to this home of ours (the planet with which we are entrusted), whatever that human's purpose or push or disposition or intention might be. It's tragic.
That cannot be ignored, but back to The FAMILY dynamic, the poetry of the breath of life.
I never needed a bait. Never needed an enticement. Never needed a scare. From the get go - belief - this being, this becoming, as a blood-born-member of THE FAMILY, my journey shot into orbit so extraordinarily enlivening, NO PRIZE has yet commanded my attention or consideration.
I am noting an emphatic differentiation, not at all highlighting any bit of better-than-ism. Creation is fruitfully diverse. Gloriously so. You see, there is a welcome awareness that each and every person comes to the moment, to the cross, to the crossroads, to the light, arriving from their own home of experience and with their own baggage of belongings and with their own intention, and NONE put together is the same as yours or mine. To thus presume your wonder-moment, your miracle, your transformation, or anyone else's, or mine, must be the blue-print for any other person's profession or accounting is an arrogance, a hubris, a thievery, to which I am purposed not to subscribe. Life's diversity is extravagantly enriching. And aren't we enormously grateful? Isn't it something to behold folks living out their lives in the midst of so many different circumstances, some rising like a phoenix, some soaring, some flying, some just winking at you with an oh-well; ahh, humans being and becoming? Ooh! That's awesome. |
