Get Up!
Take up YOUR bed & Walk.
". . . and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirtyeight years. When Jesus saw him and knew he had been now a long time in that case, he said to him, "Do you want to be made whole?" The impotent man answered him, "Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steps down before me." Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed, and walk." And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked. Oooh!
Jesus the Christ
(John's account)
{ a "secret" . . . compassion }
{ a "secret" . . . patience }
{ a "secret" . . . action }
It was on the Sabbath.
The Jews therefore said to the healed man, "It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for you to carry your bed." The man answered them, "He who made me whole, said to me, 'Take up your bed, and walk.'"
Oh dear! Oh dear! Oh dear! And there is more! Then there is more.
THEN TROUBLE.
Ugh!
And therefore the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
This, of course, was before Christ's crucifixion, before Christ died on the cross, and before He was buried, and before He arose from the dead, and before He presented himself to many ... and before ... and before ... and before ... and now, beneficiary of SO MUCH for CLARITY to whomever is made whole in a world in which the human is still a human, this is now.
RESILIENCE!

CRACK THE NUT
My Friend,
if you take my words to heart, if you set store by my commandments, turning your ear to wisdom, turning your heart to understanding, yes, if your plea is for clear perception,
if you cry out for understanding, if you look for it as though for silver, search for it as though for buried treasure, then you will understand what the fear of the Lord is, and discover the knowledge of God. For the lord himself is giver of wisdom, from his mouth issue knowledge and understanding. |
