What's the big idea? (Why? Where? When? Who? How?) Beyond The Hero beautiful minds stout with playful curiosity, who are not inhibited by unrestrained questions, make bold intelligent bets on Better. They thrive on action! This is deliciously tricky, especially in complex arenas where issues are inevitably multi-sided, simultaneous, and have real conditions and true constraints. In order for solutions to be sustainably rendered these implementers Beyond The Hero satisfy six criticals. This requires of their focus an openness to other insights. It demands of their decision process applied wisdom and discernment. These problem-solvers are generally attuned to patterns operating in their fields, to the patterns of those stories and the stories of those patterns. There exists within our natural realms patterns as fixed as the rolls of planets, and patterns as fitted as the scrolls of our thoughts, and patterns as fickle as the poles of passing clouds. It is not enough to understand nor marvel at their differences, it is necessary to recognize that such patterns are ineffably intertwined. The goal: make better; be better!
Our souls look back
In wondrous surprise
At how we've made it So far from where we started
- Dr. Maya Angelou
"There is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it. If only we're brave enough to be it." ~ Amanda Gorman (US Youth Inaugural Poet)
It seems just days ago! Blood-rushed eager we were, long hours spent laboring in the design lab: a thing 'most fantastic' to revolutionize our world envisioned. Then! All of our calculations proved spot on. Darn! If only the battery power on a layer so thin as required existed; if only it was even possbile for it to exist! No one knew how it could. Oh, darn! A pristine cloud. Puff! The professor kind of warned us, didn't he, that our knowledge and technology were inadequate to the grand moment. Perhaps, try again in a few eons! Uh! So, what happened since then to each particpant of such a pivotal hope? It all seems just days ago! Well, this all comes around - as passage of time seems always to prove - to the story we (each of us) tell ourselves, repeated around our private campfires. Fascinating! Accomplished.
It seems only yesterday. Chalkboard after chalkboard. Sleepless night after sleepless night. Presentation after presentation. Excitement from mid-floor to boardroom. A thing 'most fantastic' to revolutionize life as we know it across the world, and it is right at the tip of our fingers. Then! Incredible research revealed the stark truth. Darn! If only the speed and bandwidth required were realizable; if only we could violate Moore's Law, better its prediction, and brew these needs into being. Pronto! Oh, darn! Pie in the sky, they warned us! Could've made better use of our time, they said. Dreamers gazing into passing clouds. Wasted intelligence. Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! It all seems just yesterday. And now? Well, It all comes around, doesn't it - as passage of time seems always to prove - to the story we (each of us) tell ourselves, repeated around our private campfires. Fascinating! Accomplished.
There is often far more breadth and depth to the stories of laudable ventures.
Somewhere here and there jotting up through our beautiful stories are tales reminding us repeatedly THERE IS MORE (MUCH MORE) to triumphs of ability, of what we can do, of what we must do, (our minds put well to it), and that "more" is this: THE TRUTH OF WHO WE ARE and WHO WE DECIDE TO BE our souls are poised ever ready to reveal.
Ozymandias by Percy Byshe Shelley
I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who said~ "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert . . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away."
Who are we? Each of us! (Together). When truth is revealed? Time's march always seems to point to this: the stories (simmered truth-n-lies) we (each of us) feed ourselves seated around our campfires become us.
These stories, perhaps, or so it often seems while traveling between sands and pristine clouds, these stories have souls. Intertwined souls. So it is for sure with the accomplishments here reported. They came into being - that is were accomplished - on account of intertwined stories: that is, other eyes, other ears, other hands, other abilitlites joined together purposefully. Voila! Eons disappeared overnight! Future dreams shrunk to our present reality! A miracle. Such happens repeatedly in solid lives enjoined. And isn't that something? Awesome. Community.
