The GOOD News:For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through him. THAT'S IT IN A NUTSHELL.
THE whole chebang IN A NUTSHELL
"‘Love the Lordyour God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
"No one tears a piece out of a new garment to patch an old one. Otherwise, they will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old. And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins. And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for they say, "The old is better."

In matters of life and living the (whole) human is a total being (body, mind, spirit, soul) in dynamic balance, inclusive physical being, emotional being, intellectual being, social being, spiritual being, marvelously made. The whole human is undivided. Put together. The health of singular parts of a human is not indicative purely of the health of the whole.

My Friend,
if you take my words to heart, if you set store by my commandments, turning your ear to wisdom, turning your heart to understanding, yes, if your plea is for clear perception,
if you cry out for understanding, if you look for it as though for silver, search for it as though for buried treasure, then you will understand what the fear of the Lord is, and discover the knowledge of God. For the lord himself is giver of wisdom, from his mouth issue knowledge and understanding.

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
The Appostle
Humilty is not a weakness. Humility is neither acknowledgement of inferiority nor submission to oppression. It is not shyness. It is not fear. It is honorable.
Humility embodies courage, moral strength, sustainabiltiy, and owned indwelt worthiness.
Humility does not seek its own display nor invite acclaim, neither does it belittle its honor nor degrade the quality of its stature.
Humility knows itself well.
It takes humility to own washing another's feet (self-giving love). It takes humility to allow another to wash one's own feet (embracing self-giving love), except in this latter where such an act is demanded of subservience or is a service paid for, neither of which bespeaks wholesome hospitality, this new-creation oneness Christ has so magnificently birthed, disclosed and enacted for and with us, and neither of which has power to stymie the flow of self-giving love. Isn't God awesome? For even a slave can serve honorably and not submit his children to be enslaved. Life is beautiful. We have a faultless example. His purpose: to proclaim liberty to captives. His purpose: to free the oppressed. For who is set above the other in God's universe?
Nicolette Sowder
"Give me the wild children with their bare feet and sparkling eyes. The restless, churning climbers. The wild ones using their outside voices, singing all the way home. Give me the wonder-filled, glorious mess makers dreaming of mountains and mud, aching to run through a field of stars."

Isaiah, the Prophet
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners."
Bishop Gene Robinson
"It's funny isn't it? That you can preach a judgmental and vengeful and angry God and nobody will mind. But you start preaching a God that is too accepting, too loving, too forgiving, too merciful, too kind . . . and you are in trouble."
Desmond Tutu
"You may be surprised at the people we find in heaven. God has a soft spot for sinners. His standards are quite low.."

Dear God, grant me victory today over all that assails. Help me square up to even the greatest challenges and claim authority over them, unafraid. Amen.
