One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and his disciples began to pick some heads of grain, rub them in their hands and eat the kernels. Ooops. The Pharisees confronted Jesus about it. Another Sabbath Jesus went into the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was shriveled. M-hm! The Pharisees and the teachers of the law watched Jesus closely to see what he would do. Yikes. (Cue the Tarzan music). Jesus said, "Stretch out your hand." Oh dear me! They got furious!

It is a reality easily taken for granted: there is only this ONE you! It is true of you. It's true of each of us. Forever and ever, there will never be another you, and has never been another you. There is no one like you; there will never be another one like you. This appreciation can be enormously evocative. The Great Creator, The Omnicient One, The Omnipresence, knows there is not another you, and not another like you, and that there will never be another you or another like you. Wow! Isn't that something? Transformative. Could it be there is something only you could do? Hmmm?
CRACK THE NUT
My Friend,
if you take my words to heart, if you set store by my commandments, turning your ear to wisdom, turning your heart to understanding, yes, if your plea is for clear perception,
if you cry out for understanding, if you look for it as though for silver, search for it as though for buried treasure, then you will understand what the fear of the Lord is, and discover the knowledge of God. For the lord himself is giver of wisdom, from his mouth issue knowledge and understanding.

Muffle the noise. Quiet the chatter. Brush away the dust. See through new eyes. YOURS. Integrated. Inter-connected. Whole. Owned 100%. Original. Intimate. True. Peaceful. Powerful. Hospitable. Joyful. There will be Pharisees and Sadducees being pharisees and sadducees. They've made their choice. Let them be. You BE you. Live out the gifted goodness. You've got awesome company.

The gifted goodness of God is transformative; it's practical; it's proficient; it is lived out through the actions of Jesus the Christ. When our eyes are opened to how and what Jesus did each of all days reported while He was physically on earth, we benefit from remarkable guidance and powerful examples of living 'that you', which is beyond working-and-waiting for an afterlife. Look again. Do you see?Can you see? May our eyes remain open - healed - and not again be clouded by fear and false piety. Don't betray yourself. There is only ONE you. See how much The Great Creator wants you to be you - the only one! So, why are YOU here - at this time? Don't betray yourself.
Dear God, grant me victory today over all that assails. Help me square up to even the greatest challenges and claim authority over them, unafraid. Amen.
