Like any good mother, her desire was to have her child grow bright and bold, and to be full of good humor and wit, and to be generous and courageous and kind.
For, being such, how could anyone not have the most beautiful story?
After all, what is the code and concept of life, of living, of humanity, if it is not to find one's calling and to have that calling be greater than one's self; if it is not to pursue that calling and complete it with joyous self-respect?
Noted: it matters who we are - individually and as a people, whatever our familial and communal alignment. It matters completely. That awareness is at the soulical core of one's abiding reason for being. Lose sight of that and one is defaulted (pawned) to velcroed interests that are fundamentally disinterested in one's wholeness-of-being, available there merely as asset or liability. Contained!
Noted: An Inconvenient Revelation. How often have you heard it repeated in the face of incontrovertible evidence to the contrary: "That's not who we are!" or "That's not who I am!"? (Convenient Schizofrenia?) There is a fix. However, evidence suggests overcoming this inconvenience is easier said than done. "Winning" requires awareness. It requires acknowledgement. It requires imagination, bravery and stamina. All doable.It matters who we are, who you are, who I am.
Noted: Preparedness, coalition building, imagination, experimentation and bravery are essential to creating a robust fulfilling life experience in a world that is rapidly evolving in unpredictable ways.
Noted: Presence, purpose, passion, poise and power are attributes of authentic superheroes who are resilient and restorative, adaptive and creative.
Exploration: The stranger you run into around the corner is no stranger at all. Could it be that that stranger is exactly you, were you to have taken the path he or she took, and that you are exactly that stranger were he or she to have taken the path you took, and upon meeting . . . shazam . . . something remarkable happens - immediately recognizable or not? Could it be?

A Baffling Strangeness
Has it happened to you too?
Your intention is clear. Or perhaps you don't even realize your intention is clear. Your attention is focused. Or perhaps you don't even realize exactly how absolutely attentive you are to what you are engaged in. Your actions are in line (congruent) with your purpose. Or perhaps you are so attached and focused you are not the least bit interested in any measurement of your attentiveness to your pursuit or your purpose; you are just being you, doing you, living out you, and just then . . . shazam . . . that door opened! You didn't even realize you needed such a door to be opened, but - holy smokes - that is the door you needed opened right then and there! Shazam! That person! Holy smokes. That is precisely the person you needed to meet at exactly that moment. Oh, what a difference it made. Shazam! Holy smokes! That's the advice, the counsel, the encouragement, the new knowledge you needed that you hadn't a clue you would have needed. Shazam! Holy smokes. Shazam! Holy smokes. Shazam! Holy smokes. Gosh this happens so regularly along your journey, the only thing you know is how often you are blushing, how overflowing with gratitude you naturally are, such that you don't even remember what it is like to not be full of gratitude for the plumpness of life in a world that has gone certifiably mad; you are merely aware of hearing the same kind of refrain from strangers and passersby: "I'd like to drink what you are drinking." Water! Water! Water!
Well! Untill, of course, you meet that person - has it happened to you - who explains how much they wished they had never gone through the door they saw opened, who wished they had never met that person they happened to meet, who wished they had never followed that advice they were given - who - who - who - well, oh, dear, you almost want to tremble at a sudden realization that the likes of your shazams are the likes of someone else's goddams!

Outstanding Revelation
"An infinity of forests lies dormant in in the dream of an accorn."
Emily's encounter with The Decider was brutal. She landed in a world of hurt. Her hopes of a memorable rendezvous with Destiny and The Dream were dashed. Upon first sight of her trauma nigh a dozen tossed their invitations, cancelling any hope of pursuing The Dream, settling for the security of destiny. Some wept.
Wesley paused.
He reflected upon something Dreamer had revealed about greats that had gone before.
One thing we know about these greats, these thundering giants of our grand arenas, it is this: these greats were focused on being the best of their breed and they became the best and as they did they spawned greater greatness far flung from their fields.
These greats were not the only persons with hearts and minds so fixed on a dream. Yet, only these greats were the ones that made it to the top of their heaps, not those others who were just as fixed in their guts and in their souls on their dreams. Why is it then that while these greats made it to the top, their mortal mates got stuck? Why? Why did all those other mortals with bowels full of talent and heads full of dreams not able to escape the dung heap?
Hmm?
"Yes, why?" Wesley pondered. "Why?" He was not about to give up. He wanted to be sure he was not missing something!

A secret Truth about Authentic Superheroes: It is no small wonder that children have a healthy imagination; it is a measure of ongoing growth and development. Adults have a hefty one too, but many of us fail to employ it in restructured health-giving ways. Learning and unlearning are significant aspects of growth, maturity, development, expansion, achievement, advancement. Yet, step out from formal schooling or out from college and for many of us learning and unlearning ceases, the health of our imagination suffers then deteriorates, and our battle with beliefs begins, intensifying switfly. Growth ceases. We begin to fear learning. DISTRUST establishes its footing, requiring from us ever more bravery to keep learning and ever more stamina to keep growing. Our very bones - our life's infrastructural systems - settle into disrepair, its marrow drying. Ever so slowly at first then progressively swifter along the way, we are pushed aside, pushed out by the more daring. As it were, gentrification begins - gentrification of our lives. Then we lose our bearings altogether. There is suffering. This suffering, like unkempt weeds, takes over everything. It chokes the daylight out of life. This all begins when we stop learning and unlearning, when we abandon relevant new better information for the material familiarity of the customary delapidating information, when we fail to renew our thinking, our beliefs, our understanding, in light of the glaring reality of new revelations, when we refuse to rebuild our belief systems with the material discoveries of new, fuller, better understanding, when we are faced with the truth, when we fear the honesty of resurrection (old things are passed away - BEHOLD - all things are new again) in favor of the lie (that evolving is a weakness, worse, a sin). We stop growing. We begin to atrophy. We lose our grip. This struggle is all around us. Because we are not brave enough, astute enough, wise enough to UNLEARN in the face of more informed learning. DISTRUST - trained distrust - rises. We MAKE OURSELVES unsafe, waging a battle from QUICKSAND. This is NOT the story of our NEW superheroes. God never changes; we do! A new creation! This new creation is the story of our superheroes.
Out beyond ideas of right doing and wrong doing there is a field. I'll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.
