You will probably find in most, if not in every reputable traditional study of leadership, just as you would through activities within our Leadership Programs, the classic types, characteristics, skills, styles, effectiveness, etc. of various kinds of leaders who leave or have left their mark (positive and negative) on the affairs of this world. No need to regurgitate or reframe those here.
Our exploration, examination and employment in this segment regards current relevance in the shaping and reshaping of our local worlds and private pursuits. In our conscientious determination to embrace and engage a newer fresher unrestrained set of practices, not to prove anything, our experiences are so far revealing.
Collaboration is one of several effective essentials of Leadership Beyond The Hero along our journey. Below are three elements of note, where our goal is successful collaboration, and success includes two precious requirements: joy and unforgettableness.
1) recognize early whether the collaboration is most effective as a marriage or as a love affair, and operate full out accordingly [beware not to make it a marraige if it ought to be a love affair; do not pretend it is a love affair if you're at an altar wearing a wedding ring; if you have to guess you have a mess].
2) collaboration is never a marriage or love-affair between two parties; there is ALWAYS a minimum of three vital particpants; be fully cognizant of the needs and requirements of that third party.
3) know your name: if they don't know your name - as you prefer it, cookie-poo, in this collaboration - it is neither a love-affair nor a marriage, it is a screw. Remember the experience. Make it unforgettable.

A healthy periodic mirror-check (especially with regards to one's habits and practices or in the exercise of vital elements apportioned to purpose and pursuit) is this question: is it working out in my favor AND in favor of progress? Take timely sensible action in light of THAT revelation.
There exists amongst us a breed BEYOND THE HERO - not some sort of stereotype - critical to the call of our moment, growing, expanding, reshaping, and refining, as is necessary for the chimes of our times - extraordinarily participatory, nurturing, nourishing, discovering, unfolding, creating and building, embracing the fullness of life, in full claim of this birthright and privilege of each and every person born on this planet.
In Part 2 of this segment, as we explore, examine, and exemplify the learnings and practices of this breed's effective emergent leaders (of all stripes) who are performing apopros to the better values of our times, we are highlighting a few critical elements.
We are WIDE OPEN wholly responsible for making this world a better place.
Today's pivot QUESTION: whatever your pursuits, whatever the reasons, and with whoever, harmony is awesome, but it is a tough row to hoe wherever there are incompatabilities and-or irreconcilable differences in and amongst values, vision, habits, pracitices, beliefs, affirmations, attachments and actions;
- some of these are quite easily found when we listen to the things we say, look at the actions we condone, consider the habits we applaud; so, how often should one pause to examine such incongruencies, and deal with them?

BEYOND THE HERO, the skills used along each journey of significance were honed from the hero's journey where no hero can go it alone or come through without being transformed. BEYOND THE HERO, its leaders are of a brand new breed, as we shall continue to discover.

Home is a special place. Love resides there. The best journeys take you there. Hope lives there. Home leaves no question about belonging. Friends belong there. Dreams thrive there. Home is a place of forgiveness. There is no rejection there. Home is a place of rest and recuperation and rejuvination. There is laughter there. Life takes you to unexpected places; love brings you home. At home you are free to flourish. It is where you birthed your wings. Are you there yet? We live amongst viruses and bacteria: some are villains and some are monsters. Don't feed monsters. Villains are everywhere; you are ever in their sights.
