Be Still
"I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness or abilities that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer it or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again." Stephen Grellet. That requires me to nourish myself accordingly, to prioritize my well-being, and to let my best self be made available for such an honor, for I am a wellsping of joy; it gives me strength. I am loved. I am able. I have a reason for being, therefore I am doing what I am here to do. This moment exists for me; it is meant for me in order that I may attain accordingly. Today's challenge is worthy of my renewed strength, of my best self. Indeed, this is a good day; I will act in the confidence of the fullness of my being. Let each and every breath revive my spirit anew. I am ready.

Reflect on your wonderful capacity to love.
I am love. And I am loved. I will allow love's transforming spirit - patience, kindness, selflessness, belief, truth, endurance, adventure, pursuit - which abides me be awake with my every breath. "Love is such a powerful force. It's there for everyone to embrace - that kind of unconditional love for all of humankind. That is the kind of love that impels people to go into the community and try to change conditions for others, to take risks for what they believe in." Coretta Scott King. I too have this gift - Love. I will use this gift honorably, joyfully, judiciously. Timing is always important. Proximity is important. Mystery has its due value. Yes, I AM LOVE.

Consider this: you are not alone; others seen and unseen have your back in well-doing.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Traveling that path, even where success is not assured, let me like a tiger stride resolute and passionate in my purpose. "It is only through labor and painful effort, by grim energy and resolute courage, that we move on to better things." Theodore Roosevelt. So, let my purpose be of love, in joy, and in peace. Let me do what it takes to accomplish necessary tasks for today, whatever the due risks, for I am fully conscious that it is by far the better to live making mistakes than to exist doing nothing. History furnishes thousands of examples of those who have seized occasions to accomplish results deemed impossible by those less resolute. Let me learn. Let me be confirmed. I stand resolute in my will to do what I am called to do today. Let me be love. Through it I will pour out blessings. From it let me be better.

Reflect on how remarkable it is to have the capacity to love.
I am in love with Today. I confess it. Ever since I've known days I have heard of Tomorrow, yet neither seen nor touched any form or shape of it. Still we pant and dream for its offers. Might it be that Tomorrow is a fashionable illusion, a tempter, a teaser, a flirt, a trickster extraordinaire? Whether so, I do confess, Tomorrow has proven itself a paramour. Formidable. Unaccountable. Demanding. Even so and through it all I am grateful for the tangible opportunities of this present awakening: my love of Today. Far too often, the record reveals, I have held secret dalliances with Yesterday and dreamed for much too long of clutching Tomorrow's promises, and spun life in circles through swirling clouds of sprinled wishes. Despite those torrid affairs, Today has kept faith with me, and stands with me, unwavering, forever new. True, we've had our ups-and-downs. We've tossed and turned. Isn't it so with star-crossed lovers when distracted? Come right or wrong, the fault is mine. All mine. Today is innocent. The losses too - all mine - for Today repairs itself miraculously. My wounds take Time - not lost - spent. Alas, this balm - love - has healed me smartly. Eyes wide open, I do confess, I am in love with Today. Today deserves undivided attention. To that I am duly called. Today desires full embrace. Therein is joy. So precious it is to be romancing Today with passion, our rhythms intertwined, focused, we flow like springs in summertime. Surrendered to Today's unhindered unabashed romance of all my being is awesome. I am in love with Today and am well glad of it. Today is beautiful, gorgeous, created for all of my intentions, opened to my whims, ever present for the pleasures of my will. I love Today.

Hear your heart.
This very moment the first shoot of a good seed is stretching new into fresh air. Should it grow to live four hundred years this moment would still be marked in its cells, significant; a memory that never fades. This very moment a newborn is taking its first breath; glad hearts of new parents are beating a new melody: they are singing, precious, precious, precious, so precious life is, everything sings a song. I hear my heart singing.
I think that a song should be something more than a beautiful melody to tell the story of truth and reality.
I think that a song should be sung by someone who knows the meaning of a sorrow and the meaning of true love.
I think that a song shouild be shared amongst friends and then when friends are gone the melody and the music lingers on with tales of the good times, tales of all the bad, tales of when we're happy and when we are sad.

I am here. I am here in this fresh new moment, a moment that never was and never again will be. Here I am. I am here for a purpose. My clear purpose requires and deserves my focus. Today's challenge is worthy of my joy. I will act with joyous intention.

Consider how remarkable it is that you are here in this moment.
There is much (for and at which) to rejoice. And if, perchance, today becomes overwhelming I will take a break. "Taking a break and giving up are not the same. Ah, but this is a good day; I will act in the confidence of the fullness of it. I know - for life to this moment has taught me what I need to know - today is a day to celebrate.
