Like any good mother, her desire was to have her child grow bright and bold, and to be full of good humor and wit, and to be generous and courageous and kind.
For, being such, how could anyone not have the most beautiful story?
After all, what is the code and concept of life, of living, of humanity, if it is not to find one's calling and to have that calling be greater than one's self; if it is not to pursue that calling and complete it with joyous self-respect?
Let us begin our new series, Getting 'It' Done, with a brilliant revelation and a bold new thought.
1. It requires the vastness of this universe (with all of its complexities and the full wealth of its capacity) to be as it is in order to hold you (all that you are and all that you will be) in it.
2. You are endowed with all of the necessary abilities, privilege and responsibility to shape and reshape the moments of this vast incredible universe.
Allow those two realities to settle into place - your new space. Yes, you are a big deal!
For a little humility (just in case), all of the above is just as true about the very next person entering your august presence. Yep, that's another roaming big cheese - in your space.
You are now ready to DO something worth the full measure of your creative capacity. And to BE the full measure of who you can be!
We will get the ball rolling by reclaiming (unlocking, if you will) and clarifying (purifying, if you will) four concepts hitherto seconded to (imprisoned by if you will) the austere language of the almighty dollar (mullah, if you will):
break-even
surplus
deficit
debt
(Step aside with those four concepts. Rip them away from the dollar's clutch. Build a clear and uncluttered personal understanding of each concept.) Do it. Completed?
Actionable discoveries continuously shared - smartly - particularly those that uplift, inspire, promote harmony, expand opportunities, exemplify beauty, and reveal wonder, in other words, those proven to strengthen our emboldened exercise of genuine love through all of love's fertile dimensions, supplying those of us who are blessed and inspired to take action with necessary skillsets to be awesome in our real world. Namaste. Share.

HOW DO YOU STAY IN BALANCE or REGAIN IT WHEN YOU'RE OUT OF BALANCE?
SCENARIO: Clara and Henry are attractive, easy-to-like, well-paid employees of a high-impact company. Their similarities end there. For three years running Clara earned top performance honors and commendations from her CFO. Henry is a newbie IT engineer selected from an elite group of versatile graduates, one of three that made the cut. But Clara is frustrated and is finding it increasingly harder to hide her frustration. She feels trapped by her success. This was not the job-nature she anticipated when she joined the company. She figured outstanding performance would earn her a rotation into a role closer to her interest or at least to one palatable enough for her to ignore daily irritants. But three years have gone by. Her gentle appeals for a rotation out of her current team were all met with pretty much the same stamp of denial: you are our best; you are important to us; this is where we need you; you are an inspiration to the department; we already have great employees with superior experience slotted into our other roles; and BTW, you are elected for another bonus increase. Clara hated the job assigned her from the get go, but her moral compunction to always do her best, coupled with her cherished values, particularly the one that requires her to 'be content with what you have' - just imagine how many people would love your job at the salary you attract - kept her focused on being a peak performer. She hates the increasing demands of the job, and her teammates idiosyncracies are beginning to annoy her. Three months in, Henry is already demotivated. He arrived with high hopes, big dreams, and a completely different perception of working in IT. He picked IT as his field of interest for one reason and one reason alone (well, a couple really): high paying; high demand! Now getting out of bed is a chore. Yes, but the pay is awesome! And his workmates really-really like him.
During this series we are getting things done in fresh new ways with fresh new applications using solid working principles and employing exciting innovations.
In a remarkably innovative way you've not experienced before, each episode will transform one of the seven deadly sins into a fresh new lens and a BS Meter that will further enhance our abilites to get things done superbly well.

What Is In Your Personal Toolkit?
Nothing gets done until someone gets it done! Very often that someone is you. You may not be able to get-it-done alone. However, when it comes to your affairs, that responsibility is yours; that accountability is entirely yours; the lessons available there are all yours; the accomplishment - have no doubt about it - that's yours. Quite likely though, getting-it-done involves lots of interactions and exchanges - some good, some bad! What is the most recent 'Got Done' you are proud of? What personal and professional tools came in handy? What did your team bring to the workbench? How were those interactions and exchanges? What would you do differently? Why? How? Take note of these.
To further enhance your toolklt, to be more proficient with your toolset, or to create tools uniquely suitable to your tasks and needs, you are welcome to consult freely with our regularly updated PERSONAL DEVELOPMENTand associated playlists - styled for your convenience. Click. Take. Peruse. Use freely.
This episode's fresh new lens and BS Meter is sloth: def - "slow, lethargic, lazy, sluggish, sleepy, unhurried; endangered specie." (Which of LIFE'S virtues would you consider a counterpoint to slothfullness? 100 points. To compare your answer see Flight Of The Fused Monkeys - Listen to it - Read It.)

Hope
"An infinity of forests lies dormant in the dream of an accorn."
Have you reclaimed and redefined the four opening concepts of this series: break-even, surplus, deficit, debt?
Bring each back to life in their purest form (nothing to do with mullah). Apply each of to valued aspects of your life?
What are the valued aspects of your life?
You might be amazed how many of us think we know but don't!
Lever. Leverage. Quite often a little thing acting in the right place at the right time makes for an enormous difference. Levers are deployed plentifully around us. Where are your levers? Do you use them? Yes, together we can reveal many, but come on, this is YOUR life! Initiative. Initiative. Initiative. Quite often one little thing can make a whole-lot of a difference. You will find this super important to your progress. If you cannot find levers, create them.

Take Action
"Know what you own. Understand what you claim. Believe you can achieve what you conceive then call it by its name. Mine! The extent to which you have this clarity of mind, this purity of understanding, this strength of belief, you have the fire, the fuel, the impetus, the passion, the determination, the willpower you require to pursue and retrieve your truest desire. But do not claim what does not belong to you. It will not keep you . . . it will suffer you but for only so long."
You are valued. You are important. What you experience is important. Your intention matters. You are a whole being. You are a true wonder. You diminish yourself whenever you pit valued elements of who you are against vital elements of who you are: your intuitive self against your intellectual self, your rational self against your emotional self, your gut against your heart against your head. Don't be put at war against yourself: you are a masterpiece. An intricate being. Human!

Life: it is a dance. It gets better with practice; its music is in your heart and in your soul and in your blood and in your bones. Life; it is a dance. It gets better with practice. You have a partner – your spirit. You can have a party if you like, but choose smartly who you invite, for life – your life – is a dance. It gets better with practice, unless you stop the music or so crowd your dance floor there is no space to move or be moved within it. Explore. Yes, life; it is a dance. It gets better with practice until the dance becomes the dancer and the dancer becomes the dance and life and all of existence becomes a singular flow. Yes, life; it is a dance. It gets better with practice. Dance.

What do you value? What are you ready & willing to give in exchange for what you value? After such an excahange would you break-even, have a surplus, end up with a deficit, or be in debt? Know your CORE VALUE vs your SHARED VALUES vs your 'MARKET' VALUE. This understanding will come in super handy during your decision-making process. If you don't know these values (your value) you might be sold on the cheap or prove yourself to be far too expensive, or worse, worthless in the market. Have you scheduled downtime, shinning-up time, maintenance time, upgrade time? Do you need to climb up into the canopy, shut yourself off from the rest of the world, recuperate, hibernate, regenerate? How do you stay in balance? Check on yourself; this might be your moment to re-consider the sloth! Don't let yourself be bamboozled. Hasn't it wisely been said: there is a time and a season for everything under the sun? Or something to that effect? There is a huge difference between lethargic and unhurried, between slow and considerate. Get ready. We've only just begun.
Out beyond ideas of right doing and wrong doing there is a field. I'll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.

let your light shine
Come, let us all be friends for once,
Let us make life easy on us,
Let us be lovers and loved ones,
The earth shall be left to no one.
Across the nation and around the world there is a long rumble.
It is a rumble so loud it strikes ready ears as a distant clap of a fierce thunder. It is a rumble so low, it rides beneath the noise of a thousand human fears; it can no longer be heard. Fear of flight, fear of heights, fear of sand, fear of snow, fear of monsters in the closet, fear of bugs in the pillow, fear of cats, fear of bats, fear of strangers at the door, fear of being lost, fear of being laughed at, fear of being stuck in the toilet bowl, fear of whites, fear of blacks, fear of browns, blues and yellows, fear of nakedness, fear of the unknown, fear of being hurt.
Smile. Live. Love. Laugh. Look. Listen. Learn. Be awesome. You are powerful beyond measure. You are not alone. You can do all things. I am you. You are me. We are one. Keep Sharing.

Standard problem-solving steps repeated: 1) Understand the problem. 2) Devise a workable plan to solve the problem. 3) Test your plan where applicable. 4) Implement the plan. 5) Interpret the results. 6) Use that feedback.
Something to Consider: Effective speedy use of time and space is not the same as hurry-hurry-busy-busy. This latter often turn out to be much-ado about nothing. We learn from each other; that much better with meaningful connections. A more complete understanding and considered application of our four series concepts - break-even, surplus, deficit and debt - to valued aspects of our relationships will dramatically transform life's interactions and essential exchanges. How can you specifically improve your interactions and exchanges so that they are more profitable to you, to your community, to the universe? How can you be in balance without standing still and doing nothing? - (A Place Called Ah.)
