Welcome to Lights On - Season 5 - Episode 5 - curated by your host Neville DeAngelou. There is a massive difference between force and power. Their actualities are awfully misunderstood and when their realities are discovered, that discovery is frequently far too late.

There is a muscularity to force - by nature it is llimited and directional. Power has intensitiy; it is a scalar quantity - directionless. Ah, and there is more, the remarkable characteristics of which extraordinary individuals exemplifying wholeness of being embody in their penetrating experience of health, wealth and happiness. Yes, what power! Limitless. Personal power. Power beyond measure: eminently available and doesn't cost a penny. Inaccessible to the pretender.

One may amass considerable force. Shock and awe! One may be assigned supreme authority. O, how majestic. But power - hmmm - real power emerges from a source force and authority can merely pretend to mimic. Who-ah! So, who cares? B-R-E-A-T-H-E. Let your light shine. Smartly. You'll see.

We apporach our daily exercise of actionable discoveries continuously being shared, smartly, in particular those that uplift, inspire, promote harmony, expand opportunities, exemplify beauty, and reveal wonder, in other words, those proven to strengthen our emboldened exercise of genuine love through all of its fertile dimensions! Our Super Powers

No one wants to be powerless - no matter how simple, humble, submissive, or vulnerable one is willing to be, no one of stable state and healthy mind considers powerlessness a virtue. It isn't.

Regardless! This discourse will settle neither differences nor semantics related to force, power and authority. That is not our focus. We encourage experiencing your power source - know where it is. We encourage exercising your super power - know what it is. We miss those marks so easily, because what weakness and fear are often seeking is not power, but protection. A huge difference!

This week I was in New York addressing a gathering of brilliant students. Engaged, they are, and super active. Talented too. We had a rousing time together. Now you and I can rest assured of this: our future is already here. This discovery is a delight.

At the end of my session three exceptional presenters I had not known escorted me to where yummies were prepared for us. I was mannerly manuevering my way to any of the special treats displayed but was steadily and pleasantly interrupted along the way to be introduced to several 'wow' folks, the kinds one is always encouraged to know. Yep, there are very able and accomplished people in our universe. This discovery is a delight. To me!

Before I could put down a tasty bite I turned at hearing my name and found myself face up to a camera with its crew requesting me to answer a question, camera rolling. "Sure," I said. "What's the question?"

"What does 'black lives matter' mean to you?"

Perhaps, I smiled. I don't know that I did. I just hear that often enough to suppose I must have. Then I heard a sentence resounding out from my soul into their microphone, followed by another resounding sentence. It is at that moment I became aware of an "Ooooh-yes" (you know, that sort of endearing hooping happy folks holler) in the background, accompanied with the joyful clicking of fingers. I am aware I said another sentence. Perhaps two. Then heard another exultation from somewhere in the room. I figured I answered the question.

Now I cannot tell you accurately what my response was, because it was not rehearsed, but I am quite aware it was grounded in power! And I am sure it emerged from the pit of my gut. And I am sure I had no interest in editing myself in light of the plight of black lives in some quarters.

So typical of me (I must learn to change this); I have no idea what entity it was that asked me this question. It is easy for me to find out, but it really does not matter. I'll tell you why shortly.

I never did get that bite to fill my wanting in the press of meeting others, and in the hush of soulical exchanges, and because one of the presenters mentioned her son wanted to meet me to speak with me if I would be willing to afford him a few minutes.

Well, of course. Absolutely. "Where is he?" Each of us had been assigned rooms. She said he would meet me up there.

Ain't that something?

Super empowering.

Three young men were in that room awaiting my arrival. "Is one of you the son of . . ." I was fumbling to remember the mom's name (aint that terrible?). One of the young men waved. I didn't ask why the others were there, just "Are you three friends?" Upon the affirmative it seemed obvious they came as would one.

"I am here for you. Totally. And completely," I said.

And I meant that.

You see, I have a special baton! (Metaphorically speaking of course!) And I have given it a name. A good name. Hahaha! (That's the boy in me. Always humoring me.)

You see, for a long while ongoing I am fiercely intent on and ureservedly engaged in passing along my replicating baton - this baton is ever being defined and redefined, ever being refurbished and refined - and I pass it along again and again to every hot blooded soul whose mirrored longing is inclined to recieve it, have it, then to pass it on, and I have never taken this task lightly.

Do you have a replicating baton? You should. I'd bet you do. But is it empowered? Is it plugged in? Oh, dear! Does it have a name? Plug it in. Dreamer can show you how. You need to know.

Here before me in this new moment were three bright young black men! They will turn out to be.

Who-ah!

These young men had tough questions. I made it clear I did not come with answers; I only have my truth - my authentic truth - and had no interest in passing along any BS.

"You can find a lot of BS everywhere throughout this noisy life. And you will have to constantly make decisions." I shared a few decision-making tools. "Don't let the crazies distract you nor derail you. Envy got them bound. But Be Aware! These efforts are easier said than done." We reviewed a few viable strategies.

We were together - not for fifteen minutes - for over an hour. During our time someone entered the room. I was aware our pictures were being taken, but realized after I'd say fifteen minutes we were actually being filmed. I looked up and recognized the videographer to be the very person who extended the invitation for me to address this annual gathering. Then she left. The young men relaxed. And smiled. Then came another tough question: but how?

That's the crux of this matter here! Oh Joshua! Joshua! Joshua! I passed along my baton. The Igniter! It is plugged in. It is still replicating. Our future is in good hands. You can be sure of this. This discovery is a delight. To me. Tasty. And sweet. The future has begun.

All of who you are is who you are. We find that the full experience of ongoing health, wealth and happiness is embodied in wholeness-of-being. Be wholly who you are. Let yourself be. Afford yourself the joy and riches of becoming. Many great stories are pressed along our journey with awesome protagonists and 'seemingly' blood-thirsty villains, and heroes who are resigned never to surrender to such vexations. When we are empowered, when we are in the ongoing experience of our presence, purpose, passion, poise and power, we press on, never letting our bludgeoning fight morph us into the villains wrestling with evil toward us. Our goal is to apply wisdom and use our power. We don't look for easy and hard is a non-issue. So - be! Be strong. Become as you are meant to be. Be grounded in love - authentic love, not sentimentality. Love. Awesome love, where joy overflows and fierce fights know peace. Keep plugged in. #Staywoke.

You are valued. You are important. What you experience is important. Your intention matters. You are a whole being. You are a true wonder. You diminish yourself whenever you pit valued elements of who you are against vital elements of who you are: your intuitive self against your intellectual self, your rational self against your emotional self, your gut against your heart against your head. Don't be put at war against yourself: you are a masterpiece. Keep yourself plugged into your power source. Evil is already plugged into its source! Our power is not a fill-in for weakness nor a cover for vulnerability - it is mightier and far more encompassing than that.

Hope is the ability to hear the melody of the future. Faith is the willingness and the courage to dance to it today. Grace finds us exactly where we are, but it doesn't leave us where it found us. Gratitude transforms our common days into grand moments of thanksgiving. And here we are - in another day - just the way we are - in so far as we have become! It matters. If you don't love what you do, you won't do it with much conviction or passion. If you don't know what to do, seek.

Rise to the occasion. You are not alone. Seek out those who are doing or did or are achieving or attained what you need to do to reach where you are going. Learn something new.

Your Time Is Now

Reality: There is a thing called phantom pain. For example, a person may feel pain in a leg even though that person doesn't have that leg anymore. To that person this pain is real. Persons may be carrying around phantom burdens that have been long gone - removed - but they are still fetching the load. It is advisable to get a new reality. Unburden the load. Take off the bridle and blinders and look around for a moment or two. Look again. Take new stock. See.

Practice: Believe. Get good advice. Surround yourself with authentic people for whom you are an authentic benefit and who would benefit you. Decide. Take action. God is not holding you back from being the best you could be, but if you believe God is holding you back then God is holding you back. Just hang in there.
