Our Super Powers

It was quite some courageous push for a while - pulling and tugging, shoving and shifting, of necessity calming, centering, washing and grooming - determined to reclaim and revive that authentic joie de vi·​vre of being and becoming (hustling it through and away from the numbing chaos of malignant conformity). And now? We know who we are. Validated.

Ain't that something?

Super empowering.

And you? What about you? What have you found? What are you about?

Our time is now. That voice! Do something! S-M-A-R-T. Its urgency has taken root. What is this something? How is it being done? With what ability and by what authority? Oh dear! How do we make our actions cohere into a unified whole? How do we strike a balance between chaos and unity? How do we make a difference that matters, moving ever forward? That's where we are along this segment of our journey.

We (each of us, as well for some, in collaboration collectively) are imbued with a second superforce. Purpose! Nah, none of that mamby-pamby yap-yap stuff. A totally different juice, this is. Kryptonite free. Validated. And openly available. Simple but not easy.

In 'The Hunks I Dreamed,' when the freshly empowered but shrunken cloud of naked hearts - still youthful in their restless pursuit - arrived, Dreamer at the direction of the Old General dispatched these eager sparks back through the new realm on another quest, this time into a surprise test that would reveal the second power essential of super youths - the purpose illuminator! You guessed it: they won't all make it. Ooops! But who will be left spent?

(Guaranteed, "purpose" is always tested to verify the stuff it is made of! This universe means business. Flakes float around in circular orbits, inching toward a Black Hole. It's a well known narrative.)

Dreamer escorted Group Seven, those five youths who earned the Golden Spot (Aye, Kevin, Connor, Jada and Emily), through The Arch of Life, arriving at the onset of one of the most irresistible dramas of a familar immortal. Noah! No, not at the moment of his drunken stupor - though, those are quite some moments to behold - shockingly scandalous - rather, live, in blood-curling color and by way of godly humor smack as Noah was building his inconquerable boat, which you no doubt have heard will endure an apocalyptic storm before landing atop its famed mountain.

No spoiler alert I assure you, me displaying one of the vital lessons Group Seven absorbed from Dreamer, after traveling roughshod for forty days through death and destruction to the dry side of The Flood.

Here goes:

This timeless lesson is sorely repeated with varied iterations throughout ALL known history, and through legends, and via epic tales - a lesson codified in the Christian Universe and highlined in the very title of its fetched banner: OLD Testament - NEW Testament; OLD Covenant - NEW Covenant. Yet fierce battles continue - blindly: old vs new; nostalgia vs hope. That devil. Oh, dear! Rationalized in vain. Each destroying the other. Fodder for Book 2.

Each and every opportunity to start anew is an open window for us to re-focus and seek clarity.

Clarity and focus are two essential elements of purpose. "There is an aweful lot of yap-yap on the topic of purpose." - Dreamer (The Hunks I Dreamed). Once we get out from under that noise we discover the crucial nature of purpose, this empowering facet of examplars of wholeness of being experiencing health, wealth and happiness.

Let's see. By the way, don't you find it strangely gratifying how often necessary things seem to just slide into place right on time? Amazing. These super heroes don't take such occurences for granted nor lie in wait expecting it. Gratitude is the perfect response everytime. Do you agree? Check it out. I find that this occurrence increases dramatically where there is clarity of purpose. Strange!

Genius at work.

Everything behaves differently when we experience clarity and enhance focus. Meaningful purpose achieves both. Our supreme record books are bursting with the evidence.

You are invaluable. Your life is important. Your actions are important. What you think is important. Your intention matters. You are a whole being. You diminish yourself whenever you pit your being against your personhood, whenever you allow vital elements of who you are to be pitted against vital elements of who you are: your intuitive self against your intellectual self, your rational self against your emotional self, your gut against your heart against your head. Don't be put at war against yourself, you are a masterful creation. Why cut yourself into pieces? You'll diminish yourself.

Yes, there is evil in our world.

Hope is the ability to hear the melody of the future. Faith is the willingness and the courage to dance to it today. Grace finds us exactly where we are, but it doesn't leave us where it found us. Gratitude transforms our common days into grand moments of thanksgiving. And here we are - in another day - just the way we are - in so far as we have become! Does it not matter?

Thomas S. Monson said, "Choose your friends with caution; plan your future with purpose, and frame your life with faith." You are not alone. Whatever you do - be smart about it - whether it is related to your body, mind, spirit or soul.

You are not alone, but seek out those who are doing or did or achieving or attained what you need to do to reach where you are going.

Which of these are in your circle?

We find having these in one's circle and being these in someone else's circle to be of immense value. But know the difference.

You'll be a mighty force connected and engaged when you have a meaningful purpose (see The Hunks I Dreamed), two vital elements of which are clarity and focus.

Your Time Is Now

Reality: There is a thing called phantom pain. For example, a person may feel pain in a leg even though that person doesn't have that leg anymore. To that person this pain is real. Persons may be carrying around phantom burdens that have been long gone - removed - but they are still fetching the load. It is advisable to get a new reality. Unburden the load. Take off the bridle and blinders and look around for a moment or two. Look again. Take new stock. See.

Practice: Believe. Get good advice. Surround yourself with authentic people for whom you are an authentic benefit and who would benefit you. Decide. Take action. God is not holding you back from being the best you could be, but if you believe God is holding you back then God is holding you back. Just hang in there.
