Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin,

Being Fit

The LORD is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear?

The LORD is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?

You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.

DON'T GIVE UP

Everybody wants to be understood. Everbody wants to be loved. Everyone needs to be heard.

Let it go
Out of reach, out of sight,
Out of the door

Through the city
Over the mountains
Across the sea.

Let it go.

That path is no longer
along your journey.
Let it go.

Your flight needs you -
Your full attention.

Your wind is set.
Your wings are ready.
Don't give up.

Just let it go.

FOR THE KIDS
And That Kid in Us

A UNIQUE THOUGHT
Dancing In The Water

One of our pastors reflecting on this event - i.e., Jesus inviting Peter on to the stormy lake at Peter's request - presented us with a unique thought.

That thought has been playing jumping jacks on my mind ever since.

Step out of the boat! Some of us step out and walk on water, like Jesus, our young pastor told us. Some of us step out, sink on sight of the storm, and pray, 'Jesus HELP!' Some of us step out into the water and immediately begin playing with the waves.

He stirred something in me.

All truth, Pastor Diaz was more specific in his presentation, and very funny, and I've been dancing on those waters ever since. Now I am dripping wet.

How about you?

Are you in the boat, treading stormy waters, or gliding across those waves?

I am wet, remembering that day, still a boy, when I was tossed (literally) into the deep. And left! I gobbled a lot of water. There was no space or breath to cry for help. Some of that water is still inside my soul! What about you? Can you swim?

I am wet, remembering the years, we were so young and courageous - or were we naive, as they said of us - oh, such fun it was - and I'm still young - when two of my buddies got their first flat (an apartment) on the outskirts of London and tossed the door keys. Yes, tossed them! Because everyone - yes everyone - was welcome at any time for anything: eat, sleep, talk, recover, rewind, rejuvinate! No questions asked - except when, as young vibrant men often do, we dove into deep discussions of one sort or another! Oh, we were so wet! We danced in those waters? Can you guess what happened? As word spread of a wide welcome - doors unlocked - anything for the taking - no questions asked! Can you guess? What odds do you place on your guess?

I am wet, remembering my mom singing to me, still a boy then, dressing me, and holding my face, and singing into me: "When you walk through the storm, hold your head up high!" And brushing my hair! Oh, you don't know what we were going through then! Or do you? "Don't be afraid of the dark. At the end of the storm there's a golden sky and the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind. Walk on, through the rain. Though your dreams be tossed and blown, walk on, walk on, walk on with hope in your heart, and you will never walk alone. You will never walk alone!"

I am dripping wet, thinking of the day I gave away one car and put away the keys to the other car - no, I did not toss those keys - I was already called 'fool' for having given away three gorgeous cars in previous years. Having tucked these keys, I walked from that day on - everywhere I needed to be or go - yes, in Texas - not knowing at the beginning I would be walking like this for four years - fool - and now, I am thinking of those four years of walking miles and miles each day - yes, I am wet, reflecting on a life unimagined - my God - walking on water is much more poetic whilst flying high above gorgeous blue pools.

I am wet, remembering summers at the water park! Summer, I look to you! I want to dance on water. Yes, I want others to dance too, if they so wish. What about you?

Your turn! Do you have a unique thought? Tell your story. Share your unique thought. Can you dance? On water?
